An independent studio for calm, careful software
Nixvora makes apps people can trust with their attention and their children’s. We publish our own, we build them for clients, and through Flyntex we build the websites that small businesses run on.
Why we started
Most apps for young children are designed to be hard to put down. They reward speed over understanding, fill the screen with noise and collect far more than they need.
Montessori classrooms take the opposite approach. Each material does one thing, a child can see their own mistakes, and the adult steps back. Terra Montessori, our first app, brings that thinking to a screen, and the same thinking guides everything else we build.
What we hold ourselves to
Collect less
If a feature works without personal data, it ships without it. When something must leave the device, we say exactly what and why.
Accessible by default
Readable type, generous touch targets, screen reader labels and reduced motion support are part of the first build, not a later fix.
Quiet design
No streaks, badges or notifications built to pull people back. Good software earns its place by being useful.
Plain words
Privacy policies, release notes and proposals written so that anyone can understand them.
